GoPro Light Testing - Peter's First Tarpon.
I had one more day with the GoPro light before I had to ship it back so headed over to the Shark Channel Public Boat Launch to test a new fishing technique. The plan was to take the kayak over to the grassy flat and pick up some palm sized Pinfish and then head right back to the launch. No reason to get out early as the bite starts as soon as the sun is completely gone. While out catching bait, a storm rolled in and for some reason my kayak was full of water making a very dangerous situation even though I was less than a hundred yards from shore. (video about that coming). Made it back to shore and just storm watched while waiting for the storm to set. Meanwhile, Peter came paddling in after spending a windy evening trying to catch his first Tarpon. Since he had no luck, I offered to show him how to catch one if he wanted to hang around a bit. Once the sun set, the bite started and we were able to land a few nice Juveniles. I was also able to do some second person filming using the GoPro light. The thing works really well. Peter pulled in his first Tarpon and I was able to get it on film. It turned out being a productive night.
